The IYDV is sad to announce that one of its most enthusiastic supporters, Maria Nockin, has recently died. Maria devoted her life to writing about opera and music and through her many articles and features reached a wide public. She wrote for Classical Singer Magazine, Broadway World, Opera Wire, Fanfare, Opera Today, Pro Opera and Place de l’Opera, among many other publications.  Her articles and features on the Institute and Dolora Zajick were very much appreciated and contributed to the international renown the program is receiving.
