Is there any better investment than nurturing our greatest asset – talented young artists who will represent us across the globe?
It is our strong belief that admittance to the Institute for Young Dramatic Voices be based solely on merit and musical potential – regardless of ability to pay. It costs approximately $10,000 a year to help each artist achieve their goals. Following a stringent application and audition process, we invite 20 -25 students to take part in our program each summer. Many of these are returning students, with only about 5-6 new students admitted each year. Generous contributions from sponsors, donors, and foundations allow us to offer the summer program free of tuition to participants except for the Discovery and Introductory programs, which have a small tuition fee.
The opera world needs these young singers and these young singers need to pursue their dreams. Your contribution will help guarantee that the world stage will be blessed with great dramatic voices in the years to come.
You can contribute at any level. Contributors and donors will be thanked through our unique ‘donor recognition’ package which brings together our supporters and our artists in relaxed and entertaining events. Please ask Moira Johnson for details.
